Recovery Coaching will help participants:
- Have a better understanding of Recovery Coaching
- Define and increase fluency in the language of recovery
- Build capacity to understand, support and advocate for recovery
- Learn about specific skill sets key to supporting recovery
- Create a learning community to advance the recognition, acceptance and support of recovery
This eight-hour training is being brought to the community by Healthy Acadia and the Maine Alliance for Recovery Coaching. It is being offered as a one-day course facilitated by Denise Black and Terri Woodruff, authorized trainers on behalf of the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR). The training is based on their flagship training program, the Recovery Coach Academy. It is designed to help those who want a general understanding of the recovery process to support their loved ones, friends and colleagues.
